Feb 10, 2015 · My 2008 Honda Rancher 420 is blowing white smoke when it idles and every time i push the throttle it blows a lot out. It has the HMF exhaust and HMF optimizer and i just recently noticed that my optimizer is not lighting up but its getting power. . Milwaukee m18 battery date code

JRV: Remove all the original, gummy, stiff grease that is in the shift motor gears. Then, replace that grease with a liberal amount of All-temperature, white lithium grease. That should help. If your angle sensor was/is bad, it wouldn't allow the shift motor to spin at all. Try boosting it. If it works with a boost, go buy a battery. If you cant boost it test the battery when you hit the start button, if it drops to close to 0 you need a battery. Weak or dead batteries will run lights but not the starter.
